Stress in teens

Stress can be caused by a lot of things, but most of the time it is feeling overwhelmed by things happening in your life; like there is just too much going on, too many deadlines, too many people who are depending on you, not enough money to cover the things you need to do, no one who understands how you feel, etc.

Feeling stressed can make you feel like you just want to stop and do nothing, because no matter what you do nothing changes. Stress can be a source of depression and anxiety so be sure to visit those pages for additional information. However, it can also cause you to use alcohol or other substances to just get relief from how you are feeling.
