A healthy relationship is one in which the partners are friends first. They can talk about anything together. They build trust by not revealing what the other person has told them and are respectful of each other. They do not lie to each other - ever. There is no competition between them. If one is ready for a sexual relationship but the other isn't then they wait. They listen to each other and respect boundaries... if one wants to spend time with friends, it’s okay and works both ways. And they can have fun together and enjoy each other’s friends and time together. When one person has more control over the relationship than the other, then the relationship is no longer healthy.
