"It's said we're freaks. That we have control over our own choices.
But, truly, if they were to walk a mile in our shoes, they'd know the truth. "
By: 15 year old Colby, one of many gay teens
Being gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, or even straight, no one deserves to be tormented about their sexuality, or anything for that matter. Some studies have found that gay teens have a higher risk to become depressed, or use drugs, than normal teens. In fear of not being accepted. I'm sure all of your situations are all different, but there is a life after high school, you're not always gonna have to be stuck in this situation, you're not alone! If you're having trouble coming out, come out to your true most trusted friends first, making sure they won't say anything until you're ready. You might even be surprised with their reaction. They could be totally cool with it and they might not, and they might even know already. If they're not ok with your sexuality then they are not your true friends are they?
